1) |
Q: Are the hotels
included? |
| |
A:
Yes, we now include decent
and comfortable hotels in all our packages. Also, we
can make a custom trip for you that will include
different hotels if you wish to.
|
| |
|
|
2) |
Q: Where do the trips start from? |
| |
A: for the moment, all
our trips begin in Playa del Carmen, Tulum or Akumal. (near
Cancun). You can request departures from Mexico City or
Guatemala City or anywhere else if you choose a custom
trip. |
| |
|
|
3) |
Q: Does the price include meals? Can
you provide them? |
| |
A: Yes. We include
breakfast in all our adventures. Lunch and dinner are to
your discretion. We will however recommend the best places
to eat and great typical restaurants. Will we make
diner arrangement for the group but you are free to do
your own thing. |

|
|
4) |
Q: How much extra money should
I bring and what currency should I use? |
| |
We think that if you are careful
with your cash and eat reasonable meals, you will be
fine with 15$ to 20$ Us per day at restaurants. You can
also use our coolers to store food that you buy on the way
to save money and make your own lunches.
Since most activities
and expenses are included in the price of you trip, you should
have enough extra for lunch and dinner, personal expenses and
border crossings if you have any. The rest in on us.
We think that an extra
400.00 USD should be enough for a 14 day vacation.

5) |
Q:
What currency should I bring? What about
Bank Card?
|
| |
A: American cash ! Once we get on the
road and out of the common tourist areas , US cash rules.
Travelers checks is also a good option.
Bank cards or "ATM" Are an excellent
option. You will be able to withdraw in local currency in most
paces we go. Be sure to bring Us cash in case of emergency.
Credit cards also offer great security everywhere you go. A
gold credit card usually protects you in case of accidents.
Contact your bank for details.
Another great option is
to put extra money on your credit card to use it as a debit
card. This way withdrawing the money should not have any
cost compared to a fee with your bank card.

6) |
Q:
What is the average age required to join
your groups? |
| |
A: As a general rule are clients are between 15 and
70 years of age, in fair physical shape and open to
adventure. We do not have an age limit an we do
not like to generalize. We have had all sorts of
groups in that past and it all comes down to your
young at heart meter.
It's the kind of trip made for different types of persons
as you do not have to stay and do things with the rest of
the group if you do not want to. We like to encourage
people to
venture off by themselves and do the activities that interests
them, not the group. If you do not like
the crowd, the only time you will have
to spend with them is in the private van. |

|
|
7) |
Q:
Is there danger in the areas you travel |
| |
A: To this date nothing has ever happened
to us or anyone traveling with us. In some areas we take strong
safety measures. For example: In Guatemala we never travel
during the night and never to unknown areas if we do not feel
safe about it. Lots of places have a reputation from years
back and and lo longer offers a real danger to travelers.
Chiapas, Mexico is very safe as well as most of
Guatemala. |

Q:
I'm afraid to travel alone, I would like to be guided and supervised at all times. I this the right trip for
me? |
| |
A:
Absolutely not. We offer adventure trips but you must be ready to spend some time alone or with other members
of the group to explore and discover new places without the
guides holding your hand. You will need to read and search for
answers to your many questions about these new
places.
It's the basic idea behind Funky Tours and the way we
like to do things. This trip will challenge each of you
about the way that you see the world around you. It is not meant to be
easy. We will inform you of the best way we can and give you a
direction. You will make the final decision along with the other
members of the group. We will not be there to hold your
hand and nurture you. To join Funky Tours you must be an
adventurous and open minded person.

Q: Do you accept children and will they
enjoy? |
| |
A: Children
are more then welcome, they usually adapt well to
culture changes and sometimes more then adults.
All the children we've had enjoyed the trip as much as
their parents.
There are children everywhere we go ( or other creatures)
that will interest an occupy the young ones. Children
under 12 pay half price if accompanied by two adults. |

Q:
What are my guaranties that
you really exist and that this is not a bogus internet company? Do we have to pay all in advance ? And what
are my guaranties? |
| |
A:
We
understand this reality and try to make ourselves transparent to
our customers. We are well known in the areas and we invite
you to consult with your travel agent and ask him for
references. If you still feel insecure about the whole
thing you do not have to pay all at once to make your reservation.
You can pay only a deposit to secure your place on the
Funky Van. The rest should be paid upon arrival in Mexico
at the beginning of the trip.
You can also read others customers
reviews about Funky Tours and even contact them if you want to.
Each review is published in the clients handwriting and in his
or her language. Contact us for more details.
