  • Passport - travel insurance - Travelers checks (US$)  - Credit Card recommended

  • Warm clothes; warm jacket and wool socks, long pants etc
  • Rain jacket etc.
  • Bring enough  clothes to go one week without laundry service. (There's enough space in the van)
  • Good walking shoes and sandals.
  • Hat and sunglasses.
  • Beach towels.
  • Waterproof camera and waterproof flash light ( Mag light).  Useful for underwater caves and cenotes  snorkeling. (Disposable is a good idea)
  • Sun screen SPF 15 or higher.
  • Mosquito repellent.
  • Tourist kit : Imodium or other anti-diarrhea pills.  Aspirin or Tylenol, etc.
  • A good travel guide for the regions you will be visiting (Lonely Planet or Footprint recommended)
  • Music (compact disks).
  • A good book or some games to play on board with the others on the road.
  • An alarm clock.
  • Peanut butter  !!! (For the difficult ones we recommend bringing food you enjoy and might be difficult to find in the highlands of Guatemala or Mexico.)
  • Advice for women: tampons and other feminine  hygene products can be difficult to find in some areas and sometimes can be quite expensive.  Arrive prepared for your own comfort.

Psstt, psstt...  A little advice...

  * When on the road, eat when hunger strikes. It's important to have a little something to munch on and some water.  We can not stress enough the importance of eating nutritious foods to have all the energy you need to get about where we are going. An empty stomach and 12 persons in a minibus is generally not a good  combination.  Be prepared, bring along energy bars and anything else you may need. DO NOT worry about the space, we have lots of it on the roof.
