Tulum and Laguna Bacalar The adventures begins... Snorkel in Akumal beach with the great sea turtles in the morning and visit the Tulum arqueological site in early afternoon. Swim in the fantastic Gran Cenote near Tulum. Info: We will then depart late afternoon to sleep at the hotel Bacalar near the Belizian border. The Hotel is located on the beautifull Laguna of Bacalar where we can also swim and enjoy the view. Hotel: Laguna Bacalar (No web site available), Bacalar.

| 2) Monday |
Belize City and Tikal Early departure to Belize to visit the Mayan site of Lamanai by river boat. We will then continue to Tikal Guatemala. Info: We will stop for lunch in Belize City. The Lamanai ruins and river tour is not included in the price because we are not yet certain of the cost. We can also visit the Belize natural zoo (optional). We will stay the night in Tikal national park near the ruins. Hotel: Jaguar Inn, Tikal. |

Tikal and Flores Visit the magnificent Mayan city of Tikal in the morning. Info: Our local guide will meet us at the hotel for breakfast and then join us for a guided visit of Tikal (included). Panajachel, Lake Atitlan A journey into the past, as we visit the indigenous villages surrounding the Lake Atitlan. We can also do a walk around the lake from one village to another. Chiapas, San Cristobal, Mexico On the Road to Mexico, as we travel to the highlands of Chiapas. Info: A passport is required to travel from Guatemala to Mexico and border crossing fees are not included. You may have to pay 22$ USD for passage. We should arrive in San Cristobal at around 4pm. San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan Visit San Cristobal de las Casas in the Morning and the villages of San Juan Chamula in the afternoon. We will spend time with an indigenous Mayan family in a home of Zinacantan. Info: You can also visit the local market in San Cristobal, an authentic and mysterious place where you can find the most bizarre food on display. | 9) Monday |
Agua Azul, Misol-ha and Palenque Swim the magical waterfalls of Agua Azul and Misol-Ha as we hit the road once more to the Mayan city of Palenque in the jungle. Info: As we drive thru the mountains of Chiapas you will admire the greatness of the landscape and the thick tropical forest of Palenque. Don't forget your bathing suit. | 10) Tuesday |
The Palenque ruins and the Lacandon Forest Visit Palenque in the morning with a local guide. Info: We will meet our local guide for breakfast at around 8 am from where we will depart to the arqueological site of Palenque. We hit the road once more after lunch to see the Golondrinas waterfalls in the Lacandon forest and then spend the night in a lodge by the La Canja river in the jungle. Yachilan and Bonampak Early morning departure to the site of Bonampak and Yaxchilan.The site of Bonampak offers uniquely well preserved Mayan paintings Info: we will return to Palenque for one more night before continuing our journey to the Yucatan peninsula. Info: A one hour boat ride on the Usumacinta river will bring us to the site of Yaxchilan on the border of Mexico and Guatemala.

Edzna and Campeche On the road to Campeche, Yucatan with a stop on the way to the ruins of Edzna. We will then spend the night in Campeche Hotel: Baluartes, Campeche.
