Arrival: Villahermosa

Arrival in Villahermosa and lodge at the Hilton. Visit town in the afternoon and free time on your own.  Airport transfers to your hotel are at your discretion.

La Venta

Arrival of Guide Alonso Mendez and the driver.  He will meet you at 7am in the lobby of the Hilton for breakfast.

You will depart when you are ready. Visit of the site of La Venta and other things on the way if you have time. Transfer to Palenque at the end of the day.

The Palenque Ruins

Meet Alonso at 8am for breakfast at the hotel. (Chan Kah) Departure at around 9am for the Palenque ruins. Visit of the ruins with Alonso in the morning and time off to enjoy the afternoon by the pool. Try a Mayan sweat lodge at night (Temascal).   Ask Alonso for the details of this activity and set a time to do it with him.

Note: You do not have the van today. Alonso will arrange local transportation for you to get to and from the ruins.

Agua Azul and Misol-Ha

Departure  for the beautiful waterfalls of Agua Azul and Misol-Ha.  Your driver will meet you in the lobby of your hotel at 10am. Return to Palenque by 5pm. Free time in the evening.

Note: Alonso is off on this day but could join you to the waterfalls if you ask him.

You have also asked about church on this morning and if it's possible you would then attend the service at around 9am and depart afterwards for the waterfalls.  Ask your guide (Alonso) to set this up for you and confirm your pickup time with the driver.

Campeche and Labna

Departure at 6am from the hotel. Alonso and the driver will pick you up in the lobby and you will have breakfast on the way to Campeche.  Call Alonso the previous days to confirm your time of departure.  You may also have breakfast at the hotel but I would recommend an early start.

You can choose archeological sites to visit with him on the way to Campeche. we have proposed the site of Labna but Alonso may have a better idea.  If you have time you can also visit the fort of Campeche overlooking Campeche city.

Free time at night in Campeche to walk and visit the beautiful colonial city.

If you have time you could also visit the fort of Campeche (museum) overlooking the ocean.

Uxmal and Merida

Meet at the hotel (Baluartes) for breakfast at around 7am and departure for the site of Uxmal. Guided visit of the site with Alonso and then departure to the museum of anthropology in Merida.  Lunch somewhere on the way to Merida or at your convenience. Visit the city in the evening and dinner out in town.

Note: You may also visit the museum the following day. Your guide may take you to visit other archeological sites on the way if you would like to.

You can also eat at the hotel and relax by the pool.

Merida and Dzibilchaltun

Meet your guide for breakfast at around 7am and departure afterwards for the site of Dzibilchaltun (about 45 minutes drive from the hotel).  You can also visit other sites of interest around the area.  Visit of Merida in the afternoon and lunch at your discretion.

Note: This is Alonso's last journey with you and he will be returning to Palenque by bus at the end of this day.

Chichen Itza and Playa del Carmen

Meet your driver in the lobby of your hotel at 6:30am for an early departure to Chichen Itza (we recommend that you arrive in Chichen Itza very early in order to appreciate it while the crowd has not yet arrived. The tour buses start rolling it at around 9:30am).  You can have breakfast at the Dolores Alba Hotel in Chichen Itza.

Time to travel Merida - Chichen Itza: 1:45.

You will have an excellent local guide in Chichen Itza that will be contracted and paid by us. Feel free to tip him at your discretion.

Tulum and Coba

Breakfast at the hotel at around 8am and departure for the Tulum ruins. You will meet your driver at around 9am at the location that he will have shown you ( The hotel is on a pedestrian street and cannot be accessed by car).

Visit the Tulum site before the crowd arrives and then depart for the Grand Cenote to snorkel or swim.  You may rent the snorkeling gear at a price of US$8 (not included).

Have lunch in Tulum Pueblo and then decide if you would prefer to visit the Coba ruins of simply enjoy the Tulum beaches.

You can have a great lunch by the beach at the Paradise beach (Playa Paraiso) in Tulum.

Return to Playa del Carmen at your convenience.  You may also visit other cenotes on your way back.

Note: this is the last day with your driver, at this point he will also be returning to Palenque in the evening or the next morning.

Playa del Carmen and Xcaret

Departure for Xcaret or Xel-Ha at your convenience.  The entrances to these activities are not included in the price of your package.  We will however provide money for the transportation to either places.  Your driver will give you 90.00$ for the transportation to Xcaret.  It is said that the night show is well worth the wait.

Return to Playa del Carmen at your discretion and enjoy the beach one last day.
